The McKernan Parent Council and McKernan Parent Association host a joint meeting on the second Tuesday in October, November, January, February, March, April and May. These meetings are held in the teachers’ lounge at the school, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
McKernan Parent Council exists to support the education of McKernan students, to assist in the implementation of the school's ongoing education plan, providing advice on program priorities, budget allocations, school policies, inservices for parents and other council members, and comment on school/board policies.
McKernan Parent Association meets concurrently to discuss fundraising and the allocation of casino funds.
